The International Yoga day commemorates a great day in the history of Indian Culture. A major chunk of people globally have vouched by the fact that traditional Yoga is a complete body work out that churns out amazing results for the person practicing it. It has been proven beyond doubt that no other form of ground exercise has such potent results.
On the occasion of the international Yoga day on the 21st of June 2018 The Anand College students and faculty went into the overdrive with practicing Yoga. This was being conducted under the aegis of the National Service Scheme. (NSS) .The program was carried out under the Yoga and overall development theme where the main objective was to carry the message of physical fitness and mental agility to the students and teachers.
Leading Physiotherapist Durga Choudhary stressed on the need for robust health and physical prowess and demonstrated the Surya Namaskar and KapalBhaati. Durga Choudhary, also touched upon the need to make minor life style changes to keep way from stress and related diseases. She also spoke about the various techniques of Yoga and how each can effectively keep away mental and physical illness. The Teacher and Students effectively tried out the various techniques presented.
