Anand International College of Engineering, Jaipur successfully organized a one-week online ATAL Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Advanced Engineering Materials towards Sustainable Development” under the financial support of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The virtual inaugural ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Kallol Paul ( Vice-Chancellor, Kalyani University, West Bengal), Vice Chairperson Ms. Monika Mittal Agrawal, Principal Prof. Vijay K. Sharma and Vice-Principal Prof. Praveen Agrawal. The event commenced with the traditional Saraswati Vandana. Prof. Kallol emphasized the importance of such programs for faculty members, highlighting their role in academic and technological advancements. Vice Chairperson Ms. Monika Mittal Agrawal stated that the FDP aimed to expand knowledge of engineering in the field of material science towards sustainable development. Principal, Prof. Vijay K. Sharma emphasized the role of advanced materials in the development process. Vice-Principal Prof. Praveen Agarwal emphasized the importance of collaborative research and urged the participants to follow the same. FDP Coordinator Prof. Anil Dhawan shared that 13 expert speakers from India and abroad delivered insightful sessions on advanced engineering materials towards sustainable development. In the valedictory ceremony FDP Coordinator Prof. Anil Dhawan summarized the participant feedback in which highlighted the program’s positive impact on academic and research collaborations, foreseeing new avenues in higher education and research. Prof. Pramil Sinha, Co-Coordinator gave the vote of thanks. The event proved to be a significant step towards fostering innovation and inter disciplinary learning in the material science advancements.
