Anand International College of Engineering, Jaipur, successfully concluded a Two-Day Capacity Building Workshop on Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE), sponsored by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The workshop was organized under the School Innovation Contest (PM SHRI Schools Initiative) of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 70 delegates from various districts of Rajasthan, including District Education Officers (DEOs), DIET members, and SCERT officials.
The workshop was inaugurated with Saraswati Vandana by Ms. Anupama Jorwal (IAS), State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SMSA), who served as the Chief Guest of the inaugural session. Distinguished guests present on the occasion included Mr. Vibham Vyas (Startup Fellow, School Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education); Ms. Monika Mittal Agarwal (Vice Chairperson, Anand-ICE); Prof. Vijay Kumar Sharma (Principal, Anand-ICE); and Prof. Praveen Agarwal (Vice Principal & Program Head, Anand-ICE).
Throughout the two-day event, eminent experts and resource persons including Dr. Monica Sharma (Professor, LNMIIT), Dr. Sheenu Jain (Associate Professor & Center Lead, LNMIIT), Dr. Kavya Saini (Associate Professor, IIIM), and Dr. Mamta Bhatia (Regional Director, Jaipur Regional Centre) delivered insightful sessions on topics such as: The Importance of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Schools; Problem Solving from a Human-Centered Approach; Design Thinking-Based Case Studies and Group Work; Innovation and Entrepreneurship Demystified; From Spark to Start-up; Building Innovation Ecosystems
Under the session titled “Innovation in Action,” participants also visited Anand-ICE’s Incubation Center and Center of Excellence, where they witnessed real-life examples of innovation and entrepreneurial initiatives.
Participants took active interest in all sessions and activities, sharing valuable feedback and ideas. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants expressed heartfelt gratitude to the School Innovation Contest (PM SHRI Schools Initiative) and appreciated Anand International College of Engineering for its excellent organization and hospitality.
Certificates of participation were awarded to all attendees during the Valedictory Session, marking the successful completion of this impactful two-day event.
