Lateral Entry in Engineering Program (LEEP)-2023

Admission of Engg. Diploma/B.Sc./D.Voc.Pass outs to II BE/B.Tech.

PROVISIONAL ADMISSION PROCESS

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for provisional admission (offline/ online mode) in 2nd year B.Tech. course and they will have to pay a token amount of Rs. 11,000/- to the institute. This amount will be adjusted in the course fee of the respective branch when his/her admission will be confirmed by the Coordinator, LEEP.

Note: After the submission of token amount and documents to the institute, he/she will be allowed to take classes for opted branch at ANAND-ICE, Jaipur.

LEEP ADMISSION PROCESS

The Coordinator, LEEP has been conducting centralized online counseling process for admission in 2nd year B.Tech. course for academic session 2023-24 on the basis of polytechnic diploma and/or B.Sc. exam marks merit. Candidate need to fill Application-cum-Registration Form on the LEEP portal as per the following schedule:

Commencement of filling application cum registration form (online) to be announced soon
Last date for deposition of registration fee (online)
Last date for filling application cum registration form (online)

Thereafter, the coordinator, LEEP will allot seats (college & branch) on the basis of merit and choices filled in LEEP Application Form. Diploma holders can take admission in any branch of engineering.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Passed Diploma examination (3 years) with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category- SC, ST, Non Creamy layer OBC, Non Creamy layer MBC and PwD) in any branch of Engineering and Technology from AICTE approved Institution/ UGC Approved Universities

OR
Passed B.Sc. degree from a UGC recognized institution/university with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidate belonging to the reserved category – SC, ST, Non Creamy layer OBC, Non Creamy layer MBC and PwD) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.

OR
Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector
Note:

  1. The Universities will offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc., for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to achieve desired learning outcomes of the programme.
  2. The marks obtained to award the division in Diploma/Degree will be considered for deciding the eligibility and respective merit.
  3. The 3 Years Diploma courses conducted by AICTE approved institutions /UGC approved Universities will only be eligible for Lateral entry and names of such institutions must be available in the list of AICTE approved institutions/ UGC approved Universities on the AICTE / UGC website.

PRIORITY OF ADMISSION

Admission to the candidates will be given as per the following order of preference: –

  1. Candidates having passed Diploma from Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan, Jodhpur.
  2. Bona-fide residents of Rajasthan (on submission of Certificate from competent authority)having either passed diploma from institutions located in Rajasthan and considered equivalent by Board of Technical Education Rajasthan, Jodhpur or from Board of Technical Education in other States/ UGC approved Universities.
  3. Candidates not covered in point (2) as above, having passed Diploma from State Boards of Technical Education outside Rajasthan/ UGC approved Universities.
  4. Candidates having passed B.Sc. from UGC approved Universities in Rajasthan with mathematics as a subject in 10+2.
  5. Candidates having passed B.Sc. from Universities of other state recognized by UGC with mathematics as a subject in 10+2.
  6. Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector from Board of Technical Education /UGC approved Universities.

SEAT MATRIX

10% seats of sanctioned intake of previous academic year 2021-22 are reserved for admission in 2nd year B.Tech. course (lateral entry). The details of available seats are given below:

In addition to the above, supernumerary seats are also allotted on the basis of merit and choices (branch/college) filled in LEEP Application form in the respective category as per the following details:

 

EWS (Economically Weaker Section): Additional 10% seats of the sanctioned intake (per course/branch) are reserved for the GENERAL category candidates whose family income is less than or equal to Rs. 8 Lakh from all sources in the last financial year 2020-21.  An EWS certificate is mandatory at the time of reporting/admission.

 

TFWS (Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme): Additional 5% seats of the sanctioned intake (per course/branch) are reserved for the candidates from Rajasthan state and whose family income is less than Rs. 8.00 Lakh per annum in the last financial year 2020-21. The income certificate is compulsorily required to be submitted in the institute as per LEEP guidelines.

 

KM (Kashmiri Migrants): Additional 5% seats of the sanctioned intake (per course/branch) are reserved for candidates belonging to Kashmiri Pandits/ Kashmiri Hindu families (non-migrants) and for Kashmiri migrants. A migration/ Domicile certificate is mandatory to produce at the time of reporting/admission.

All the eligible candidates should opt their respective categories for admission in the online LEEP Application-cum-registration form only.

 

FEE STRUCTURE

The course fee approved by the State Level Fee Determination Committee/Competent Authority for SFS, EWS and KM categories is as mentioned below:

  • In addition to the above mentioned fee, the affiliating university (RTU, Kota) also charges the examination fee (per semester), enrolment fee (one time) and development fee (one time) etc. separately. The same is collected by the institute and transferred to the university.
  • In case of the allotment in TFWS category, the tuition fee component is exempted.

 

SCHOLARSHIPS

Various scholarship schemes are available for the candidates as per the following details:

 

INSTITUTE SCHOLARSHIP: The institute provides Scholarship for the needy/ meritorious candidates as per the institute guidelines.

PRAGATI SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR GIRL STUDENTS: AICTE provides the scholarship for female students (two girl per family) whose family income is less than or equal to Rs. 8 lacs p.a. For more details, visit the website- https://scholarships.gov.in/

 

SAKSHAM SCHOLARSHIP: AICTE provides the scholarship for specially-abled candidates (disability of not less than 40%). For more details, visit the website- https://scholarships.gov.in/

 

SC/ST/OBC/OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS: The various departments of the State/Central Govt. provide scholarships/ financial assistance to the eligible candidates from socially and economically weaker sections and to the wards of the eligible employees respectively. Also, scholarship schemes for SC/ST/OBC/BPL/MBC/ Minority community students are provided by the concerned states as per their guidelines.

 

CLUBBING OF BRANCHES: No clubbing of branches is needed because as per APH 2021-22and AICTE letter F.No. AICTE/AB/SCR/Circular/Lateral Entry/2020-21 dated 17-09-2020AICTE has eliminated the restriction for diploma holder to take admission in appropriate branch. Hence all eligible candidates can opt for any discipline of engineering.

 

Documents to be carried out by candidate while going to the institute:

The following essential documents are to be kept with the candidate:

  1. Copy of 10th and / or 10+2 marks sheet.
  2. Copy of Diploma/B. Sc. marks sheets (I, II, and III year) (all semesters).

iii. Copy of Bona-fide residence of Rajasthan (In case of candidates having passed Diploma from other States & belong to Rajasthan state).

  1. Copy of Provisional /Original Diploma / Degree Certificate.
  2. Copy of Certificate(s) in case of reserved category candidates of Rajasthan from competent authorities.
