Current availability of interactive technologies infrastructure such as internet bandwidth, increased processing power and connectivity through mobile devices at affordable costs have led to new concepts related to human living. Smart cities, smart life and internet of things etc. are few such evolving research domains. A prominent concept among these is `Smart Home’, which involves automation and interactive technologies. This project proposes a multi-functional `Smart Home Automation System’ (SHAS), where users can use voice-commands to control their home-appliances and gadgets, for different functionalities and purposes. The proposed system can be adapted to a user’s voice and recognize the voice commands, independent of the speaker’s personal characteristics such as accent. The system is aimed to be cost-effective, flexible and robust. The voice command recognition is achieved using a dedicated hardware module and an Arduino micro-controller board for commands processing and control.
Performance evaluation is carried out by developing a multi-functional Miniature prototype of the SHAS. Results of the experiments conducted are quite promising. The prototype SHAS can be used for converting existing homes into smart homes at relatively low cost and with convenience. Home automation has recently come into the limelight and thus has undergone large scale development. Everything from lights and gas stoves to a garage door can be controlled using a central panel in the house or through wireless devices using an application or even voice commands. It has been a huge advancement in technology, where it proves very useful in big houses or for the Differentiable such as for the blind etc. It goes from basic switch controls that turn the lights on/off to creating different environments in the house base don requirements or mood, calling an Uber cab for you, controlling the HVAC systems of the house, Audio Visual entertainment systems etc. and many other advanced functions in the technological aspect.
With Venue, booking system is a web application in which dealers and customers can add and book the events based on their location, availability, and area. This makes the workload simple for users to book an event they need to search for it. In this application, the user needs to be registered and log in to log in the user will search for venues by giving the location if the venues were present in the particular location.
The user will see the full information about the venue and if is interested he will book the request will be sent to the organizer who added the particular venue and if he is available according to the date he will accept and the user will the status that the booking is confirmed. User can search for venue and can find the details of various venues. User can select all the required options needed and can book venue from anywhere.
