A Two-Day Capacity Building Workshop sponsored by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi was inaugurated at Anand International College of Engineering (Anand-ICE), Jaipur. The workshop had been organized under the School Innovation Contest (PM SHRI Schools Initiative). More than 70 participants from various districts of Rajasthan, including District Education Officers (DEO), DIET faculty members, and SCERT officials attended the workshop. The event commenced with a Saraswati Vandana, followed by the inaugural address by Ms. Anupama Jorwal (IAS), State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SMSA). Dr. Sanjay Yadav, Deputy Director, PM SHRI Scheme, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The inaugural ceremony was also attended by Mr. Vibham Vyas (Startup Fellow, School Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, Government of India), Mrs. Monika Mittal Agarwal (Vice Chairperson, Anand ICE), Prof. Vijay Kumar Sharma (Principal), and Prof. Praveen Agarwal (Vice Principal and Program Head). On Day 1, sessions were conducted by Dr. Sheenu Jain (Associate Professor & Center Lead, LNMIIT), Dr. Kavya Saini (Associate Professor, IIIM), and Dr. Mamta Bhatia (Regional Director, Jaipur Regional Centre). The experts shared their insights on topics such as “The Importance of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Schools,” “Problem Solving through Human-Centered Approach,” and “Design Thinking Based Case Studies and Group Activities.” Chief Guest Ms. Anupama Jorwal (IAS) emphasized that innovation and entrepreneurship are vital components of the education system that inspire students to find creative solutions to real-life challenges. Participants also visited the Incubation Center and Centers of Excellence at Anand-ICE as part of the “Innovation in Action” session. The second day of the workshop will feature sessions on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Demystified,” “From Spark to Start-up,” and “Building Innovation Ecosystems.”
