Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” This quote implies that education is not just for social change, but also for self-awareness and personal development. Students can create self-awareness and improve their personal development by taking courses that relate and ignite their passion and goals. The big questions here are: How can students use education as a means for sustainable, gainful, and personally meaningful employment? and what can colleges do to help students develop the right skills for employability? Students securing gainful employment that is sustainable and meaningful is linked to their ability to turn knowledge into skills, skills into experiences, and experiences into a lifetime of jobs.

A few reasons for going to college are to gain knowledge in different fields, to enhance and develop both technical and soft skills, and to earn a higher income. I am thankful for my education at Anand International College of Engineering. I have experienced many opportunities to explore myself, set goals. The college’s core curriculum has given me the opportunity to develop both a sense of place and personal development, helped improve my analytical and quantitative skills, and enhance soft skills such as collaboration, dedication, and perseverance. I would say only Anand college is providing the best career program for their students in Jaipur and provides CLP classes from the 1st year of engineering. This is the best thing about our college’s education system.

My involvement in college events and extracurricular activities has helped prepare me for my summer internship with the Airports Authority of India a govt organization. The more experience students gain, the better placed they will be to make decisions about which roles are likely to suit them.

During my college days, I often approached the college’s TP cell where I had the opportunity to learn how to write an effective cover letter and resume using certain keywords that relate to the job that I applied for. It was there that I learned that employers only look at one’s resume once before making a decision on whether that applicant should be called for an interview. I also learned from my college training and placement cell that it is advisable for entry-level job seekers to start their job on time.

I remember, In 2018 I applied for a job at IBM as an entry-level engineer. They scheduled the exam and the next day the interview process was scheduled. I appeared in the exam and got selected for the next round. I cleared the interview process as well.

After 3 months of the long wait, I got the offer letter from IBM through the mail. In march 2019 I  joined IBM. My college and all the faculty members helped me a lot to achieve my goal.

Wherever I go I  proudly say that I am a student at Anand International College of engineering.

I love my college.
